Reminder to slow down

Have you ever driven on a road and see one of those signs that tell you how fast you're actually going. Ever notice EVERYONE slows down for that?
funny signs Pictures, Images and Photos
Life has a way of never slowing down BUT every so often I need to remind myself and take a moment to clear my mind and just breathe. It's just like that sign.just breathe Pictures, Images and Photos
Step one... Make sure everyone else is okay and you are awake enough. Falling asleep with your little kids around you is NOT a great thing.
Step two. Close your eyes.
Step three. Try to shove everything out for a moment and focus on your breath.
Step four. Breathe out and with it go your anger anxiety and all the junk that's bugging you.
Step Five. Breathe in life (or in my case God's Perfect Love)
Repeat as many times as needed and how ever times a day you need it.

Just a friendly reminder to all I care about.
Blessings

Our trip to the Fair

Sorry it's been a while... I will post what I have ready in a few Days

As A side note -I will be participating in Fight for Preemies day.
If you have a preemie and you know me please shoot me a message and send me a pic and a brief how big at birth and how long in the NICU you were. I'd like to raise awareness of Prematurity and also bring attention to HOW people can help.

We went to the South Carolina State Fair on Friday...

It was Sheep Day. Of Course if you've known Andrew for more than a week you already know he raised and showed sheep as a youth. He wanted to Introduce our kids to sheep and other animals.
NO we actually did not take our kids to a petting zoo at the fair. What you are going to actually see are the real deal. Animals being shown by exhibitors.

Hampshires- A sheep breed... They had a jacket on to keep their wool clean so they could be shown.

Jonathan was a little bit not sure about the whole thing so I carried him and was his buddy. We saw a lady grooming her sheep and stopped and talked to them for a wee bit. We asked first if we could pet her sheep.
Jonathan sheep
This was a Scottish Black face sheep named "Maisy". Yes they have names because each one has a personality and the owner always knows each and every one by their name. He loved this amazing animal and how soft she was. and we know it was a SHE because there was nothing dangling in her hindwuarters ;).

Daniel however clearly did not want anything to do with it.

However when He took Daniel for a walk through the cow barn. Andrew told Daniel the cows were walking hamburgers and he became interested. LOL

Here was another PIC of Jonathan. He decided to do this on his own. He dressed up like a banana.

Be blessed and oh yes Happy 12th Anniversary Andrew.

Pregnancy & Infant Loss Rememberance Day and Friends

This is my 101st post!
BokehCandle Pictures, Images and Photos

October 15th is a very special day. It is worldwide Pregnancy and Infant loss Remembrance Day. A day when those of us stop and remember the babies that we and our friends have lost.
If you asked me 10 years ago if I knew what a miscarriage was or even if I would have one (or even if I would ever get pregnant for that matter) I would have told you I couldn't tell you.
Now being in 2009 and having 2 miscarriages..I can tell you I've learned lot and gained a ton of compassion for what people have been through.
I would not ever wish one on my worst enemy nor would I ever tell anyone to abort their child.
Losing your baby is the worst pain that you will ever have and I will honor the short lives of the babies I lost and those of whom I am friends with. I honor Samuel who died of a fetal demise at 7 weeks (1/2005) and Hannah Janay who we lost by miscarriage (8/31/2007).

You can go HERE for more info on Pregnancy and Infant loss Remembrance Day

Please light a candle if not for a baby you are remembering , but for others who are missing their babies Due to Miscarriage, Stillbirth, PProm, or SIDS.
Wave of Ligth for Oct 15th Pictures, Images and Photos

There is a silver lining in this story. If I had not lost my babies, I would never have had the sad honor of getting to know a group of ladies on the internet who had been through similar losses known as PAL or Pregnancy after Loss.
I do communicate with a lot of them and Many of us have gone on to have living children(sad to say "living" as a description of my children).
We have shared Laughter, Tears and everything in between.
Right now I hold a Special place in my memory and in my heart for Ladies such as Tracy, and Toni who recently lost their babies and now either have their ashes or have a cemetery plot with their dear angel babies names on it.
No one should ever lose a baby EVER and these dear ones definitely should have not been touched by that.
I hope they don't come to me and hate me for writing that as my heart hurts real bad for them. We may come from different backgrounds, but we are a sisterhood. A sisterhood where we all have been touched by an angel or two(or more).
Where would I be without Sarah who could be living a parallel life with me. There have been many times I thought something and she wrote it. She could have me crying one minute and the next Rolling on the floor laughing Until I peed. Daniel shares her baby Girl K's Birthday of July 25th. I do remember that her Son Stanford was born sleeping nearly a week after Jonathan was born. I love you Sarah.
Be blessed and go light a candle Thursday night at 7 pm (your time).
